Brandon Aguillon is proud to serve as an Assistant Band Director at Sachse High School. Previously, he has been a conductor, horn performer, and private horn instructor. He is excited to be joining the Sachse Mustang Band, where he looks forward to continuing his work in music education.

Mr. Aguillon previously held the role of graduate assistant conductor of the Meadows Wind Ensemble at Southern Methodist University, where he conducted multiple world premieres and studied conducting with Dr. Jack Delaney. He also worked as an assistant instructor for the SMU Mustang Band while completing Master of Music degrees in Music Education and Instrumental Conducting. 

He earned his Bachelor of Music in Horn Performance from SMU, where he studied with Haley Hoops, and frequently performed with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. He has held fellowships at the Tanglewood Music Center and the Music Academy of the West, where he studied with members of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and performed under the direction of BSO Music Director Andris Nelsons.

Mr. Aguillon also has experience with Drum Corps International, where he performed with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps in the baritone and mellophone sections, and later served as a brass instructor for the Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps.

Outside of music, Mr. Aguillon enjoys spending time with his cats, Echo and Sylveon, exploring coffee shops, and watching college football.
